So, after 4+ years of faithful service, U of I is kicking me off of their servers. For good. Or so they say. It has been forwarded to my gmail for quite some time, but it still hurts. Burns even. Well, to you "express.cites.uiuc.edu", I say "Tschuss", and until we meet again when I eventually go back to fair Illinois to get my MBA/JD. Though with my low ambition I honestly think email will be in obsolescence by then. I have so much homework to do that I feel like a real person again! When left to my own vices I squander time and become pretty ridiculous. So today I have to draw 22 croquis for Fashion Drawing. My drawing teacher told me I was timid because I didn't show my work in class; I didn't do it and thank Jaysus (funny story later) he ran out of time before he got to me. But that means not I have to do them in addition to the new 12 for this week. Blah. I also have to make a shirt pattern on muslin, sew some new stitches on the industrials (a 15 step threading process!), make 4 achromatic color lines and do a case study on Burberry, which I guess isn't that bad. But I have to do it all today. As in now, while I'm typing this. But it will all be worth it this upcoming Thursday. My class is going on a fieldtrip behind the tents at Fashion Week and possibly to the Chaiken show. Ho-fu-sh! Does anybody even know what that stands for? Well, most of you are college educated, extrapolate it. But yeah, my teacher was telling us about how they allow 2 classes per fashion week to come see behind the scenes, and no one had asked this year. But this poses new problems. What to wear?
Ok, Jaysus story. as you may or may not know, I have no TV here. It wouldn't be so much of a problem, but it was pretty much the bane of my existence before I left. Subsequently, I had to leave Whiitey, tears were shed. So I've taken to reading "best of craigslist" as something to do. Most of them are decently funny, but I couldn't stop laughing at this one . The word Jaysus made my life, simply because I never thought to say it before, but I think it's gonna be my new thing whenever I see something spectacular. Holla!
